AMONG the glitz and bling of this week’s Geneva Motor Show, there’s one car that stood out as possibly the prettiest ‘new’ creation on the plinths.
Premium sub-brand of Citroen, DS, displayed a gorgeous 2015 model DS 21 Pallas show car as a tribute to the history of the 1955 DS.
the heritage from which the DS brand today draws its inspiration
This iconic car, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is, according to Citroen, the heritage from which the DS brand today draws its inspiration.
Staff at the DS Style Centre ‘revisited’ a DS 21 Pallas with the idea of bringing Citroen’s heritage and the present together in one car. The model on show is finished in Ink Blue – the launch colour of New DS 5 – and features the same semi-aniline leather found in the range-topping versions of today’s DS models.
Sadly with modern day safety requirements, the 2015 DS 21 Pallas is unlikely to make it into the showrooms where, we predict, it would outsell most other cars in the medium-sized executive market.
