OUR contacts at Skoda have revealed details of the Czech arm of the Volkswagen Group’s strategy for electric vehicles with an all-electric Skoda by 2020.

First of the electric models, which we understand will be launched in 2018, will be a plug-in hybrid version of the recently-launched new Superb. The hybrid Superb, will be followed by a plug-in version of the next generation, all-new Fabia.

Ultimately, the plan is to launch an all-electric city car by 2020, which we understand won’t just be an electric version of the Citigo car.
