Raising SME awareness: The Peugeot Partner is the subject of Alphabet's first radio ads

ALPHABET has taken to the airwaves for the first time – to promote a special van deal to SMEs.

The offer, for a Peugeot Partner 1.6 HDi van priced at £119 per month including maintenance for a 24-month business contract hire, is firmly aimed at the small to medium sized enterprise businesses.

As Alphabet tries radio ads for the first time its chosen medium Radio X (formerly XFM) has national coverage through DAB, with FM coverage in London and Manchester and the ad will play up to eight times per day on Radio X, which features DJs including Chris Moyles, Johnny Vaughn, Vernon Kay and Ricky Wilson.

The ad directs listeners to the Alphabet website where they can find more information about the offer.

Alphabet chief commercial officer Martin Quail said: “SMEs are a core part of Alphabet’s business. There is a huge potential in the small and medium sized fleet arena and using radio enables us to get our message out far and wide. Radio X broadcasts to over a million listeners every week.

“SME decision makers tell us that they’re too busy managing the day-to-day needs of their business to worry about the hassle of leasing and fleet management. Which is why they really appreciate guidance and support of a specialist like us – although they may not be aware of the services of a company like Alphabet, which is why we are doing this campaign.

“People in the industry know Alphabet for company cars, as well as AlphaCity and AlphaElectric, but we have a fantastic team of LCV specialists and we want to broadcast that. We have worked with partnership with Peugeot to put together a fantastic, market-leading offer which takes away the headache of maintenance for SME customers.”
