For the time being Cars Direct will trade under the CD Auction umbrella

SMALL used car dealers can now access digital auction buying, repairs and transport facilities though a trading division created by the CD Auction Group.

Trading under the Cars Direct brand, the division will focus its resources and experience on supplying a full range of online remarketing services and products specifically for professional used car buyers.

This business has successfully served both buyers and vendors in the vehicle remarketing industry for more than 25 years

These services include genuine online sales through the group’s well-proven digital auction, vehicle refurbishment from the group’s in-house smart repair and bodyshop and bespoke transport and logistics operations.

Andy Brown, managing director of CD Auction Group, said: “This business has successfully served both buyers and vendors in the vehicle remarketing industry for more than 25 years. But we now have such a diverse range of specialist products and services that it makes more sense to focus directly on the specific industry sectors with independent trading divisions.

“Cars Direct will focus its efforts on trade used car buyers in order to maximise value for our dealer customers. Our genuine online auction is more cost effective than the big names in the industry; saving our customers money with each car they buy and offering a wide range of nationally available stock.

“Meanwhile, our new CD Fleet Services division will be concentrating on our fleet and leasing customers to ensure they benefit from the full range of our vehicle management and remarketing products.”

Cars Direct will establish its own identity and online presence shortly but, for the interim, will trade through the established CD Auction Group platform.
