AUTOGLASS has a clearer view of the road ahead. It has appointed a new managing director: Taxiarchis Konstantopoulos.
Taxiarchis Konstantopoulos joins Autoglass having established an enviable track record in Greece where he worked for the company’s owners Belron Group from 2006.
During his time in the sister company to Autoglass in Greece, Taxiarchis and his team tripled the size of the company to become market leader in challenging market and economic conditions.
In addition to setting the strategic direction for the company’s investment programmes and successfully developing enduring relationships with key industry partners he also led several international projects across the wider Belron Group.
The business is going through a period of evolution supported by significant investment
Prior to joining the Belron Group, Taxiarchis held senior retail management positions at both Texaco and Shell.
Commenting on his appointment, Taxiarchis said:
“I have long admired Autoglass as both a pioneer in the vehicle glass industry and iconic UK brand. I’m enjoying being back in the UK again and I’m thrilled to join the team at the beginning of the next stage of its development.
“The business is going through a period of evolution supported by a significant investment in technology as we progress with the roll-out of a fully mobile operating model. It’s exciting and offers huge opportunity for the future.
“The focus continues to be on a relentless drive for the very best customer service, maintaining a strong brand and supporting our people to do extraordinary things every day – making Autoglass a great place to work. To facilitate this, we are making significant investments in recruitment, training and technology that will ensure we deliver on our objectives.”
