Green Tomato Cars is a taxi firm. With a slightly odd name. And cars that can be distinguished by their paint scheme…Silver with ermm, green tomatoes on them! The name and appearance is all part of the taxi firm’s very different approach to providing car hire: as environmentally as possible.

The cars it runs are all low-emission Toyota Prius hybrids. And recently the firm has taken delivery of the all-new Mk3 Toyota Prius with CO2 emissions of just 89g/km.

Green Tomato Cars is a small business, run by the directors Tom Pakenham (32) and Jonny Goldstone (32). Tom and Jonny had both worked at law firms previously where they were habitual users of taxis
