CD Fleet Services, the leading online vehicle remarketing and pool fleet management specialist, has completely redesigned its online auction website to make it easier for trade buyers to view stock and bid from mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones.

The new website also features new graphics to make navigation more intuitive; a search function to find specific cars by make and mileage; and a ‘my auction’ function so that buyers can pre-select vehicles that catch their eye from the stock of vehicles available.

Andy Brown, managing director of CD Fleet Services, said: “The new website is fully responsive and has been specifically designed to display vendor stock equally clearly across desktop, tablet and smartphone.

“It means our fleet vendors will get better exposure to trade buyers who will now be able to view, select and bid, anytime, anywhere. Our smartphone and tablet functionality is particularly strong and, we believe, the best in the market.”

Despite the fresh new look and responsive functionality, CD Fleet Services has not changed the robust, well-trusted and genuine online bidding platform.

This allows approved buyers to place bids at any time of the day or night and then get on with the rest of their lives. The unique ‘robobid’ system will automatically bid up to a maximum amount entered and keep the buyer informed of the sale progress.

“Buyers don’t have to sit around waiting for a vehicle they’re interested in to come ‘on sale’; all the lots are available for bidding up until the auction closes,” explained Brown.

“This is a significant difference between our genuine online auction and the pseudo-online systems that are simply web-feeds of a physical sale.”

The launch of the new website is part of a major investment in the CD Auction Group business to meet increased demand. The company has recently increased its storage capacity to handle more vehicles and appointed a new business development coordinator to ensure vendors continue to get high levels of personal service.
