OGILVIE Fleet has announced the appointment of David Raponi to assist with its growth plans for UK’s larger fleet market.

Oglive operate a company car and van fleet of over 11,500 vehicles and has offices in Sheffield, Stirling, Belfast and Birmingham. However, the company has traditionally focused on fleets of less than 100 vehicles.

We have increasingly shown that we are able to win major contracts in competition with some of the UK’s largest contract hire and leasing companies

David Raponi has been bought into Oglive with a wealth of fleet experience and a 20-year automotive sector career behind him, both at UK and European level. His new role is business development director and he will report to Nick Hardy, Ogilvie Fleet sales and marketing director

Nick Hardy said;

“We have increasingly shown that we are able to win major contracts in competition with some of the UK’s largest contract hire and leasing companies and David’s appointment will further enable Ogilvie Fleet to win business from companies operating several hundred vehicles.

“During his career David has focussed on the large fleet sector and his appointment will provide the springboard for Ogilvie’s expansion in that sector.”

David Raponi said;

“Since the recession, some of Ogilvie’s competitors have sold on price and not service – with contracts won on the promise of cut price deals which ultimately prove to be unsustainable.
