BUSINESS car leasing and fleet management specialists, Fleet Alliance, is taking a lead on promoting women to senior board roles in companies, with the appointment of Angela Robertson to finance director.
Angela, formerly finance manager with Fleet Alliance, joins managing director Martin Brown and commercial director David Blackmore on the Fleet Alliance board.
Also joining the Fleet Alliance board is Grant Boardman, currently sales manager, who becomes regional sales director.
“We would like to welcome Angela and Grant to our executive board. They have both played key parts in the success of the business and have been very influential,” said Fleet Alliance managing director, Martin Brown.
Fleet Alliance said that its fleet management size had now moved past 10,000 business cars and business vans for the first time.
Martin said that the growth had been the result of several factors, which included a greater focus on the mid-size corporate sector plus a growing presence in the company’s core SME company car business market.
“While 2012 has undoubtedly been a tough year of consolidation and entrenchment for many firms, we are seeing signs of economic recovery with increased employment and higher levels of business confidence, which augurs well for the coming year,” added Martin.
