Ford is offering a discount deal to schools managing school bus transport.

The discounted deal, known as the Ford School Bus programme, is aimed at state education facilities – such as schools and colleges.

These educational establishments can now get a discount of up to 14% when they buy a Ford Transit minibus.

Steve Kimber, commercial vehicles director, Ford, said: “Transit is a durable vehicle which is essential when you need to get a sports team to matches on time. The safety and design features in Transit minibuses include car-rated seatbelt safety, electronic stability programme, ABS and dependability that leads its class.”

The Ford Transit minibus range includes:

  • nine-seat Shuttle bus; and
  • 12-,15- and 17-seat minibuses.

Standard safety features on a Ford Transit minibus include: anti-lock ABS brakes, anti-skid ESP technology, driver and passenger airbags.
