VAUXHALL’s humble Agila has been named as Europe’s most reliable car while premium German brands got a bloody nose, in research by a warranty provider.
In latest research by Warranty Direct’s Reliability Index, British and French brands produce the most reliable vehicles.

Vauxhall, topped the table with its diminutive Agila model the most reliable European-badged car on the road despite its £7,950 on-the-road starting price.
The index analysed vehicles that were an average of five years old with mileages of around 50,000.
At the same time the Audi RS6 costing nearly 10-times more at, a whopping £76,985, was the least reliable.
Yet both car’s main faults lay with axle and suspension failures although very many more with the expensive German flier.
French manufacturers, Peugeot and Citroen completed the top three, with their similarly small 107 and C1 superminis.
