Renault has announced a new, three-year or 100,000-mile warranty on all its Trafic and Master panel vans and minibuses.

Mileage is unlimited for the first two years. Third-year cover is good until the end of that year or 100,000 miles, whichever arrives soonest. The deal also includes three years’ free AA membership.

The Trafic has also gained the 2.5 dCi 150 engine, previously only available in the Master, replacing the dCi 140. Peak torque is now 320Nm at 1500 rpm. The Quickshift6 automated gearbox is also available with the dCi 150 engine, offering fuel savings of up to 5%.

Also new is a refrigerated version of the Trafic, a direct result of the positive reaction to the Trafic refrigerated van concept shown at last year’s CV Show.

The Trafic Refrigerated Van range has been developed with French bodybuilder Lamberet. It is available with either the 2.0 dCi 90 or dCi 115 engine in SL27 and SL29 guises, offering payloads from 710kg to 973kg and a load capacity of 3.4cu m.

Features include insulated material in the doors, floor and ceiling, so that it can maintain a load area temperature between 0° and 12°C, even if outside temperatures exceed 30°C.

Sport trim is also available on panel-van, crew-van and nine-seat Trafics. The £1,250 package offers £1,785 worth of kit, saving £535.

The deal includes 16in alloy wheels, all round metallic paint, air conditioning, electric front windows and electrically heated door mirrors, a driver’s armrest, front fog lights and new upholstery.
