KIA has launched another series of value-for-money VR7 special editions. Discounts, higher specs, finance deals and optional servicing packages are all part of the mix. The models to benefit are the Picanto, the Rio and the cee’d.

All of the Kia VR7 models get similar equipment lists, including air-con, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift and Bluetooth, as well as USB and AUX ports.

Exterior features include alloy wheels, reversing sensors, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors and electric front and rear (where applicable) windows are also included. Colours are white, black, silver and red.

On the Picanto, the VR7 treatment is available with the 99g/km 1.0-litre petrol engine and also includes silver interior door handles, chrome exterior door handles, black upholstery and a black radiator grille. The Picanto costs £8795 as a three-door and £8995 in five-door form, representing a saving of £750.

The Rio VR7 is offered with three or five doors and 1.25-litre petrol (115g/km) or 1.1-litre diesel (94g/km) engines at a saving of £1000. Added features include body-colour bumpers, exterior door handles and door mirrors. Prices start at £10,495.

Kia VR7 models are available for all three body variants of the cee’d – the pro_cee’d coupe, the five-door hatch and Sportswagon estate. All come with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, and in the case of the Sportswagon, there’s a 1.4 diesel (114g/km) as well.

The pro_cee’d VR7 starts at £13,495, a saving of £1000, and has 16-inch alloys, black cloth trim, steering wheel mounted controls and a rear spoiler. Five-door hatches and Sportswagon estates get a rear spoiler, projection headlamps, daytime running lights and front fogs.

Finance deals include rates of 4.9 per cent, with a £1000 Kia Access Deposit Contribution available on the pro_cee’d, cee’d five-door and cee’d Sportswagon versions. The Kia Care-3 servicing package, offered to retail customers buying VR7 models, covers the first three services for just £99.
