Mazda gears up to help small businesses

MAZDA is turning its retail-based experience to good use with a new small business focus.

Mazda’s new small business unit will help firms with business car requirements of 1-50 business cars.

The service will be delivered through multi-location Mazda dealers who will have a B2B specialist. These dealers would be supported by four business development managers, confirmed Peter Allibon, the fleet & remarketing director at Mazda.

”We are very good at retail sales,” said Mr Allibon, ”and I think that experience can be put to good use with small businesses, supported by our Mazda Contract Hire products.”

Mr Allibon said Mazda Contract Hire would provide both contract hire for those firms who wanted to run company cars, along with personal contract hire for small businesses that preferred to run a private car outside the business, but claim the 40p per mile tax-free business mile allowance (AMAPs).

”We currently have some very good products for small businesses – such as the all-new Mazda 3, revised Mazda 6 and evergreen Mazda MX-5 roadster – along with some very good offers,” continued Mr Allibon.

”For example, the Mazda 6 diesel is available for just L249 a month on Mazda Contract Hire,” he said.

Mr Allibon added: ”Mazdas provide good value, there’s a high specification and simplicity of choice. They are, just as importantly, good to drive cars.”

The new Mazda small business service is planning to be operational by May 2010.
