THERE’S plenty to interest company car drivers in the new Lexus IS range which is now available to order in the UK. The first cars will be delivered from mid-July.

Prices start at £26,495 for the entry-level IS 250 SE, while the IS 300h hybrid model has tax-friendly CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.

All cars get a 2.5-litre petrol engine. In the case of IS 250 models, this is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, while in the hybrid IS 300h, it’s supplemented by an electric motor and a CVT automatic.

One omission – at the moment there’s no successor for the current line-up’s 55.4 mpg IS 220d diesel.

Company car tax is as low as £48 a month for a 20% tax payer

SE models get sixteen-inch alloys, cruise control, a smart entry/start system, dual-zone climate control, powered folding mirrors, HID headlamps incorporating a dusk-sensing function, Bluetooth and a DAB radio. The IS 250 SE is priced at £26,495 and the IS 300h SE at £29,495.

Next up, the Luxury trim level, priced which costs £27,995 for an IS 250, and £30,995 for an IS 300h. The Luxury gets larger seventeen-inch alloys, Lexus Park Assist, rain-sensing wipers and 60/40 split rear seats.

The F Sport costs £30,495 in IS 250 form and £33,495 as a hybrid IS 300h, and has eighteen-inch ten-spoke F Sport alloy wheels, sport suspension, a mesh grille, an LFA-style instrument pack, aluminium pedals and leather trim on the steering wheel and gear lever.

Finally, top-of-the-range Premier models get eighteen-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, automatically folding exterior mirrors, eight-way power-assisted, heated and ventilated leather seats, an electrically-operated steering column, a sat nav system with a seven-inch screen, a rear view camera and a Mark Levinson sound system with 15 speakers and 5.1 channel surround sound.

Premier models cost £35,495 for the IS 250 and £38,495 for IS 300h.

Business car drivers will high business mileage will miss the diesel, but the hybrid is a very tax efficient alternative.
