New Peugeot 308 SW offers multi-use abilities

The new Peugeot 308 SW goes on sale in June.

The Peugeot 308 SW joins the Peugeot 308 three- and five-door hatchback range, and replaces the Peugeot 307 estate and SW models.

The Peugeot 308 SW is a compact estate car, based on the 308 family-sized hatchback.

It offers five full seats and a third row of two occasional seats, providing capacity for seven people.

However, the interior has been modularised to provide flexible accommodation.

The third row of seats can be removed if the boot space is required; for further space liberation, the second row can be removed, too. Alternatively, with the all seats in place, the backs – along with the front seat – fold flat to provide a load length of 3.1m.

There are three trim levels: S, Sport and SE.

The S trim is a standard estate car, without the additional third row of seats. Sport includes 17ins alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, removable second row of seats, and optional third row. SE includes 16-inch rather than 17-inch alloys, and a third row of removable seats.

Typical prices are L16,395 for the 1.6 VTi 120; L17,995 for the Sport HDi 110; and L19,195 for the SE HDi 110.

The Peugeot 308 SW engine range: petrol

  • 1.4 VTi 95 95bhp, 155g/km CO2, 5sp manual
  • 1.6 VTi 120 120bhp, 165g/km CO2, 5sp manual
