Welcome to Business Car Manager
Running a small business is never easy. But currently the challenges are many. I was talking to Nigel Stead, boss of Britain’s second biggest leasing company. He told me some uncomfortable news: contract hire rates were due for a rise. But, he added, small businesses should seek partnership with a provider rather than chasing down the keenest deal. “Look for value in the relationship,” said Nigel.
There’s more good advice from our Ask the Experts panel: managing director Karen Hill wanted to know the most economical way to keep her full and part-time staff mobile. You could always consider a MINI Cooper D. Its party piece is sporty performance and over 70mpg. Plus low tax. It’s just another answer to keeping the lid on motoring costs.
