New company car fuel rates

SOME relief for company car drivers at last. The rising cost of fuel has been recognised by HMRC and the Advisory Fuel Rates have been changed. You can use them from this month (June) – although don't get too excited. Not every band has changed. So check out the changes on our table here: New company car advisory fuel rates. Not all companies operate company cars, of course. For some small businesses the additional costs would be ruinous. Asking staff to use their private cars has some duty of care issues, but if managed correctly is highly efficient - as Adrienne Wells explains.
