INDEPENDENT vehicle rental provider, Nexus Vehicle Rental, has been appointed by BVRLA to improve its risk management tool for members.

The ‘RISC’ system is available to every BVRLA member company, forming a central, data-protected information hub containing 12,000 cases on individuals or businesses where -problems have arisen during the rental period.

Any unacceptable behaviour is logged on the system, which is then viewed by rental companies to help them determine risk when renting their vehicles out.

We are delighted to have been appointed by the BVRLA. To work with one of the fleet sector’s leading trade bodies is testament to our technological capability

The RISC system is designed to help protect businesses against customer fraud, identity theft, negligent damage to rental vehicles and debts arising from non-payment and/or poor payment histories.

Nexus has its own booking software, IRIS, which is one of the most widely used rental management systems in the UK, serving in excess of 500,000 vehicles in 1,750 locations.

CEO of Nexus Vehicle Rental, David Brennan, said;

“We are delighted to have been appointed by the BVRLA. To work with one of the fleet sector’s leading trade bodies is testament to our technological capability and the project is a fantastic opportunity to enhance a critical commercial tool for BVRLA members.”

Chief Executive of the BVRLA, Gerry Keaney, said;

“RISC is one of the key benefits we offer to our rental members so finding the right technology provider to partner with on this project was vital. Nexus impressed us with its knowledge of the rental sector and the efficiency and sophistication of its technology systems.”
