BUSINESS mobility specialist, Alphabet, has announced that its strategic fleet consultant, Nigel Trotman, is to retire at the end of March. Trotman has worked in the fleet and business mobility industry for 22 years.

Starting in 1993, Trotman managed Whitbread’s fleet and over the years has received numerous accolades including Employee Benefits Award Best Company Car Strategy in 2006 and Energy Savings Trust Fleet Hero 2007.

Trotman joined Alphabet in 2010, and has worked with both corporate and public sector clients on the strategic development of their fleet and mobility solutions. He has also been involved with helping customers make the change to electric vehicles with Alphabet’s AlphaElectric scheme, and the introduction of the company’s corporate car sharing scheme, AlphaCity.

I’ve loved worked in the fleet and business mobility industry – it’s one that literally and metaphorically never stands still

Trotman has been a member of ACFO’s National Council for 9 years and will continue his involvement after retirement as ACFO Midlands Regional Secretary.

Trotman said;

“I’ve loved worked in the fleet and business mobility industry – it’s one that literally and metaphorically never stands still. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with some fantastically talented people who have become friends as much as colleagues and customers.

“I’m excited to stay involved in the future development of the mobility industry and will continue to be involved in some part through my work with ACFO.”

David Bushnell, who has been with Alphabet since October 2014, will now assume Nigel’s responsibilities. Bushnell will continue to promote electric vehicles and has over 20 years’ industry experience in the industry, bringing his extensive knowledge of fleet taxation, personal motoring schemes, fuel optimisation and fleet funding to the role.
