BMW 320d: more power and better economy
BMW 320d 2.0 177 SE 4dr
What is it?
BMW's classic business car given a dose of EfficientDynamics. That means you'll notice very little difference on the outside of the BMW 320d. But a range of energy conserving measures - such as Brake Energy Regeneration and Auto Stop-Start - mean it's all change under the BMW 320d's bonnet. Power is up to 177hp. Fuel economy improves to 58.9mpg. And there's a 16% fall in CO2 emissions to 128g/km.
What's hot?
- The badge and image of this executive 3 Series
- Smooth and responsive engine
- Fluid ride manages to crest bumps without thumps...
- ...but remains firm for a composed and sporty drive
- Fine steering control
- Nearly 60mpg fuel economy
- Enough rear room for two adults
What's not?
- Engine can be a bit off pace low down the rev range
- Interior a bit flat - lacks a sense of occasion
- Watch out for options pushing up purchase price

Business Car Manager Road Test Rating
BMW's brilliant business car has just got better. The 320d is an engaging car to drive, but one that is also highly fuel efficient. It makes for a low-tax but premium business car choice.
