The Lex Autolease Broker Conference also benefited from support by five manufacturers:

2015 saw a record growth in the fleet size of the Lex Autolease Broker division
That was the key message at the Lex Autolease Broker Conference on 04 February at the St David’s Hotel, Cardiff.
Orchestrated by Steve Cocks, director of the Lex Autolease broker division, 75 brokers attended the conference.
Fiona Hall, director of SME, Lex Autolease, explained to delegates that the leasing company’s priorities remained: namely volume, value and efficiency.
“By volume I mean sustainable growth. We are market leaders but size isn’t everything, so it’s what we do to sustain that.
“Value is keeping us in the right place with customers and efficiency is about being easier to do business with, so we are the funder of choice when you are placing business,” Fiona explained.
Fiona said that the company’s longer term growth goal remained 100,000 units and that it was on track to meet that target, although Fiona admitted: “It’s not easy”.
Nevertheless, Fiona pointed out the enormous contribution brokers had made to Lex Autolease sales, contributing to the fleet growth. “Thank you for that support,” Fiona told delegates.
Brokers now accounted for 18% of all Lex Autolease sales. “Our broker fleet would be 7th in FN50, that gives you an idea of the scale.”
Away from the numbers, Steve Cocks explained that finance lease with maintenance had been successfully launched after a long gestation period, there were new factsheets available, while IT enhancements continued to be ongoing to maintain Lex Autolease’s competitive advantage in the market place.
There were presentations from Jay Parmar of the BVRLA as well as Ralph Morton from the Small Fleet Leasing Federation, while the serious stuff was punctuated by a brilliant video of the next stage in Carl Price’s fledgling TV career!
The conference ended with a Q&A session involving Lex Autolease managing director Tim Porter.
