HONDA has moved swiftly to replace former head of fleet sales, Lee Wheeler, with the appointment of experienced Volkswagen Group fleet expert Rob English.
Rob takes up his appointment as manager – corporate operations at Honda from 17 March 2014.
He will be in charge of Honda’s corporate sales division responsible for Honda’s fleet sales, leasing and rental operations.
Leon Brannan, Honda head of cars, said: “Rob English is a very welcome addition to our team and we are looking forward to him getting stuck in and taking on our fleet challenge, especially as we enter a new exciting era for our brand, both in terms of diesel engine technology and new additions to our line-up.”
Rob brings with him a wealth of experience gained at Audi corporate sales before he then went on to head up the Skoda fleet sales operation.
Rob since left the Skoda operation and has been working as an account director at Return On Investment (ROI) having left Skoda – but clearly the lure of cars was too much.
Rob takes up the Honda fleet post at a time when the company is consolidating its SME fleet cars with the launch of the Honda Civic Tourer diesel to join both the Honda Civic diesel hatch and Honda CR-V 1.6 diesel SUV, in addition to the announcement of such exciting halo cars as the new Honda Civic Type-R.
