Facelift Pug in time for plate change

  • Emissions as low as 79g/km due to advanced BlueHDi diesel technology
  • PureTech petrol engines in 68ph 1.0-litre and 82hp 1.2-litre versions;
  • Prices start from £11,695.

FACE-LIFTED and ready for the 65-plate, the new Peugeot 208 will be in UK showrooms just in time for the 1 September plate change.

It boasts a more aggressive design, new efficient Euro 6 engines, extra safety equipment and new comfort and convenience features.

The 208’s new front end creates a sharper and more precise line, with a wider grille and deeper chrome finisher that is now fully integrated. At the rear, the LED light clusters have been redesigned to incorporate PEUGEOT’s signature 3D ‘claws’ motif. Enhancements include exclusive new 16 and 17-inch wheel options, available in a choice of painted, diamante and laser-engraved finishes.

Among a palette of 13 colour choices, there’s a world-first technology for a production vehicle of ‘textured paint’.

Two interior and two exterior personalisation option packs are now available, each in either Menthol White or Lime Yellow.

Peugeot’s BlueHDi technology claims to be the most effective emission control system on the market today and means every diesel 208 has CO2 emissions of below 95g/km.
The 208 is now available with a 1.6-litre 75 S&S diesel engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It’s capable of a claimed 94.2 mpg with CO2 emissions of just 79 g/km.
