SEAT delivers for Stannah

  • 13 Ibiza 1.0 EcoTSI models and a Leon ST 1.6 TDI for pool cars
  • Strong track record for reliability and economy supports Stannah’s 365-day operation
  • SEAT range wins praise for affordability, quality and whole-life cost
  • Cars supplied by Business Centre at Snows SEAT Southampton

SEAT spices up Stannah’s fleet of pool cars with the addition of 12 SEAT Ibiza 1.0 EcoTSI SE models, plus an Ibiza 1.0 EcoTSI FR with DSG transmission.

The stylish Ibiza superminis, supplied by the Business Centre at Snows SEAT Southampton, replace Stannah’s Andover-based pool car fleet.

A combination of factors saw the Ibiza emerge victorious as the pool car of choice, notably its reassuring feeling of solidity, a very competitive whole life cost and the wide range of advanced safety technology available.

The leading manufacturer of stairlifts and commercial lifts is no stranger to the SEAT brand with a number of SEAT Leons already in operation. These have impressed with strong reliability and economy, leading to the adoption of the Leon’s smaller sibling, the Ibiza, for the fleet.

Stannah’s Ibizas benefit from enhanced comfort and safety features including cruise control, hill hold control and tiredness recognition systems, all of which support duty of care responsibilities. The generous standard SE specification also includes air conditioning, 15-inch alloy wheels, a Media System with a 5-inch colour touchscreen and DAB radio.

The frugal, yet sporty, 1.0 95PS EcoTSI engine also pays dividends, contributing to an excellent total cost of ownership and its appeal as a highly competitive financial proposition for fleets.

Over on the service and installation fleet, the new Leon ST is proving its worth with a spacious 587-litre boot space and traditional SEAT build quality, making it ideal for regular long journeys, high mileages and transporting equipment.

Jean Olding, fleet controller at Stannah, commented: “The SEAT service team in the Business Centre at Snows SEAT Southampton assisted greatly with our decision making process, helping us to find the right vehicles for our needs.

“Stannah is a family-owned business which has a long history of delivering quality products and services on which businesses and individuals depend day in and day out for movement of goods and people, and our fleet needs to encompass and reflect our commitment to delivering those core values.

“Reliability and the total cost of ownership were key priorities when making a shortlist as our vehicles are required nationwide 365 days a year. We have been very pleased with the existing SEATs on our fleet and we are confident that SEAT helped us make the right decision for the new pool cars on the fleet.”

SEAT UK’s head of fleet and business sales Peter McDonald commented: “We are naturally pleased that Stannah has returned to us to find the right solution for its growing fleet.

“Not only have we been able to specify and fulfil a selection of vehicles which are perfectly suited for the requirement, but our dedicated regional team at Snows has also demonstrated the quality of service which fleet customers can expect when they deal with SEAT.

“I have no doubt that Stannah’s drivers will enjoy the driving experience offered by our Ibiza and Leon ranges and that the cars will continue to perform exceptionally for the business.”

Caroline Dance, corporate sales manager at Snows SEAT Southampton, added: “We are delighted that we could provide the perfect vehicles for Stannah Lifts on this occasion.

“A wide range of attractive features, combined with an ability to deliver all year round, make the Ibiza and Leon models a popular choice for businesses and we look forward to working with Stannah further in the future.”
