INFINITI chose Geneva to show the sharp-looking Infiniti Q60 concept as well as debut the 2018 model year version of its best-seller, the Q50 saloon.
Externally the Q50 benefits from new LED headlights with a design looking like the human eye. Plus new taillights and revised front and rear bumpers.
Go for the more dynamic-looking Sport or Red Sport 400 models and the revisions to the styling are more obvious, with a different, more angular look to the front bumper with wider, lower intakes.
The Red Sport 400 also boasts a 400bhp punch from its 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine.
The facelift continues to the Q50’s interior with a new steering wheel, gear knob and revised front seats.
Probably the most interesting technical feature of the facelifted Q50 is the adoption of new Q50 driver support technologies with its new ProPILOT Assist package, which is underpinned by a Direct Adaptive Steering system – a building block for future autonomous drive development
But another highlight of the Infiniti stand was the Q60 Project Black S, pictured. This concept designed to show the link between the manufacturer and the Renault F 1 Team, with special features such as an energy return system (ERS)
The facelifted Infiniti Q50 will go on sale in the second quarter of 2017.
