Skoda expands fleet team with new appointments

Share

12 April 2012

There’s little doubt that Skoda means business when it comes to selling company cars to SME businesses.

The company has added to its fleet sales team three new members: Jonathan Harris, Tomas Tichy and Alan Barrowman

All three are as fleet sales managers in the Skoda fleet team, and Skoda plans to get its three new members to help expand the brand’s fleet sales further, which grew last year 31% to a total of 22,000 and a 2.2% fleet market share.

Jonathan, who lives in Bristol, will have responsibility for the South West and South Wales. Jonathan joined Skoda in November 2011, having previously worked for Motability over the past six years.

Tomas will have responsibility for East Anglia, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. From the Czech Republic, Tomas – who is now based in Milton Keynes where Skoda has its HQ – has experience in Skoda’s planning department having joined the company as a vehicle supply manager in 2008.

Meanwhile Alan, who joined Skoda in March after 12 years as a rental manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Glasgow branch, will look after Scotland and Northern England.

Martin Burke, head of Skoda’s fleet sales, commented on this latest Skoda company car news: “I’d like to welcome Jonathan, Tomas and Alan to the Fleet team – we’re delighted to have three new members on board and I’ve no doubt that their expertise will help us to build upon the record success of last year.

“By 2015, Skoda aims to deliver 78,000 registrations per year, with half of those sales being company cars coming from the fleet market. To help achieve this, we’re committed to investing in our staff to ensure we’re best placed to deliver a first-rate service to both our burgeoning fleet customer base and future prospects.”
