FIRST sketches of the next new Fabia have been released – and the latest version of the supermini represents quite a change in direction compared with today’s rather staid, upright model.
The third-generation new Fabia will be nine centimetres wider and three centimetres lower than the current one – quite a significant change in proportions.
ŠKODA says the new car is the first to draw heavily on its VisionC show car, providing more “dynamics, passion and emotion”, qualities not previously associated with the Fabia which has so far relied for its popularity on its dependability and practicality.
The company is also promising that the third-generation new Fabia will have a versatile interior with lots of options that will allow owners to individualise their cars.
There’s no word yet on details such as pricing and the engine line-up.
