SUZUKI will start selling the Suzuki Celerio, first shown at the Geneva Motor Show, in the UK in February next year.
The company describes the Suzuki Celerio as an “A+ compact”, on the grounds that it provides extra space compared with other models in the smallest bracket.
Full details of the Suzuki Celerio range will be announced later on, but all cars will get six airbags, ESP, air conditioning, alloy wheels, a digital DAB Radio, a CD Tuner, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
Initially, the Suzuki Celerio will deliver 99g/km and a combined fuel consumption of 65.7mpg.
In the summer of 2015 a new engine will be offered in the Suzuki Celerio, giving better fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 84g/km.
Another option available from next summer on the Suzuki Celerio, will be the new Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which features an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator positioned at the top of the transmission that operates the gearshift and clutch automatically.
AGS is claimed to offer the convenience of an automatic without the loss in fuel efficiency or increase in CO2 emissions associated with a conventional torque converter based auto.
