Smart thinking – Android users can trial the app for free now

YOU know the feeling.

Oh no! I’ve just been snapped!

For company car drivers rushing to meetings it can be an issue to unwittingly exceed the speed limit on unfamiliar roads.

Maybe no more.

TomTom is offering Android smartphone users a dedicated Speed Camera app

TomTom is offering Android smartphone users a dedicated Speed Camera app.

The TomTom speed camera app gives drivers timely and accurate speed camera alerts to help avoid speeding fines and drive stress-free. The app is available to download from the Google Play Store.

TomTom says the TomTom speed camera app offers alerts based on TomTom’s already extensive coverage of fixed speed cameras. App users will automatically get camera reports shared by more than 3.4 million TomTom drivers, and will also receive an update every minute, with upcoming mobile speed cameras based on the latest intelligence.

“We believe that a journey is far more enjoyable when you know what is up ahead,” says Corinne Vigreux, managing director for TomTom Consumer.

“Our new TomTom speed camera app gives Android smartphone users extra peace of mind and helps them avoid speeding fines. By becoming part of the TomTom driving community, app users will also benefit from the input of millions of other motorists on the road.”

The app is free for a three month trial period; subscriptions can be purchased for ₤1.99 per month or ₤15.49 per year.
