TOYOTA is revising the seven-seat Prius+ hybrid for next year.
One obvious change is the addition of a new top-of-the-range trim level, Excel Plus, which offers features such as leather seat upholstery and a twin DVD rear seat entertainment package. Like the Excel, the Excel Plus also gets Toyota Touch 2 with Go system, which includes sat nav.

Other models get a multimedia upgrade with a standard Toyota Touch 2 system, which includes a touchscreen, Bluetooth, DAB digital radio and a reversing camera. There’s also an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, LED headlights, new rear lamp clusters and tyre pressure warning system. In the cabin there’s a redesigned centre console and improved seat fabrics.
The revised Prius+ continues to look pretty good from a tax point of view thanks to a combined fuel consumption of 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 96g/km when the car is fitted with 16-inch wheels.
Order books for the revised Prius+ are already open, and the first customer deliveries will take place in January. Prices start at £26,995.
