The SEAT Leon 1.6 TDI SE has been a big hit as one of our business cars – now the Ecomotive promises even better running costs with rock bottom company car tax and at least a theoretical 85.6mpg

IF you’re looking to give your employees a pay rise, you may want to take a look at the new SEAT Leon Ecomotive.

We’ll let the headline figures do the talking – an astonishingly low 87g/km CO2 and the potential for 85.6mpg fuel economy. Tremendous efficiency for your employee, even better business sense for your company.

£42 a month – that’s all a 20% tax payer will have to shell out in company car tax

This amazingly low CO2 figure equates to a company car tax band of just 14% for the 2014/15 tax year (13% this year). A reason to be cheerful in itself.

But there’s more good news – especially for small businesses and SMEs – with the news that the new SEAT Leon Ecomotive also qualifies for 100% first year writing down allowance. Surely there must be a catch?

Well we’ve looked long and hard and we can’t find one.

The new SEAT Leon is already an accomplished and highly credible alternative to the Volkswagen Golf, so the Ecomotive version only serves to make it even more attractive.

This remarkable level of efficiency has been achieving by upping the power of the 1.6 TDI engine, along with the fitment of low rolling resistance tyres, aerodynamic side and rear spoilers, a unique radiator grille, lowered suspension and gear ratios tweaked for efficiency.

In everyday terms, it means that you and your employees can look forward to – on average – an extra 11.3 miles from a gallon of fuel. That could be enough to get to work in the morning.
