Vauxhall Mokka review action
As well as two-wheel drive versions, don’t forget that the Mokka also comes with 4WD – and real off-road ability

Mokka Exclusiv 1.7 CDTi 16v (130PS) 6-Speed Manual Start/Stop

What is it?

The Vauxhall Mokka is a compact SUV, the first from Vauxhall.

It has a tall and distinctive stance, and the choice of four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive models.

The Mokka sits in the same market place if you are considering the Skoda Yeti and Nissan Qashqai as your next company car.

Our Vauxhall Mokka review car is the 1.7 diesel with four-wheel drive and Exclusiv trim. Also available is the Mokka with Tech Line trim with standard Navi 600 sat nav that’s an option with Exclusive trim.

Vauxhall Mokka review rear
Good performance is complimented by 57mpg economy

What’s hot?

  • Feels thoroughly well built and screwed together.
  • Engine pulls strongly and delivers over 57mpg official fuel economy.
  • The Exclusiv spec of our Vauxhall Mokka review car offers good business user specification: there’s 18 inch alloys, electric windows all round, leather-bound steering wheel, rain sensitive wipers, front and rear parking sensors, front fog lights and more.

    Vauxhall Mokka review interior
Lashings of space – doesn’t really feel like a compact SUV
  • In the rear there’s even a three pin socket so a lap top can be plugged in.
  • 20% company car tax banding, with company car tax starting from £71 a month.
  • High up driving position makes it easy to drive with good all-round visibility.
  • The space. It might be a compact SUV but our Vauxhall Mokka review car didn’t feel compact at all. The driving position is comfortable with a spacious footwell; ditto for the passenger. At the rear there’s plenty of space for passengers while the boot’s 785 litre capacity can be extended easily with the fold-down seats.

    Vauxhall Mokka review display
    Excellent sat nav graphics
  • Sat nav graphics are excellent; easy to understand with clear visual guidance…
  • …and we also liked the picture graphic that appears above the route guidance: a blue sky with light clouds during the day; and as it turns to dusk so too does the graphic. A small but neat touch – pretty much like a lot of the Mokka’s attributes.
  • You’ll find USB, SD card and aux connectivity neatly grouped together out of the way.
  • Bluetooth phone connectivity that’s a synch to set up.
  • Easy to use DAB digital radio.
  • Four-wheel drive ability with electronic hill descent control.
  • Three-day test drive available for company car drivers with full insurance – you only pay for the fuel.
