Vauxhall is now offering the Mokka with front-wheel drive and new optional equipment

VAUXHALL is broadening the appeal of its Mokka mini-SUV.

A front-wheel drive alternative to the existing 4×4 powertrain is the most significant change for company car drivers,  and the first automatic versions of the Vauxhall Mokka are on the way too.

New optional extras are also in the mix.

The front-wheel drive Vauxhall Mokka option on the is being offered in conjunction with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine.

With a six-speed manual ‘box, this achieves a combined fuel consumption of 47.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 139g/km. Acceleration from rest to 62mph comes up in 9.9 seconds on the way to a top speed of 120mph.

New optional equipment includes two top-end infotainment systems, CD 600 and Navi 950.

These offer a high-resolution, seven-inch colour display, which also shows the image from the optional rear camera. Bluetooth connectivity for both mobile and audio streaming is also available.

The Navi 950 has Europe-wide maps and can be updated via the USB port. Finally, there’s an Orange Rock metallic exterior paint colour and optional nineteen-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.

Prices for a front-wheel drive Vauxhall Mokka with the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, start at £16,719. In a company car comparison that’s still more expensive than the entry points for the newly arrived crossover rivals from Renault and Peugeot, the Captur and the 2008.
