The Top Employers Institute has recognised Vauxhall as a leading global employer

GOOD to hear that one of Britain’s leading company car manufacturers is setting an example of looking after its employees.

Vauxhall Motors has been certified by the Top Employers Institute for what are dubbed “exceptional” employee opportunities.

Not forgetting that the Vauxhall Astra VXR “Extreme” is made at Ellesmere Port. Just in case you thought they were all too good to be true…

The certification comes as a result of not just UK but global research by the Institute, looking for companies that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and which strive to improve their employment practices.

The Top Employers Institute marked Vauxhall in five employee categories –Primary Benefits, Secondary Benefits and Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development and Culture Management.

The Institute then had its research independently audited to ensure fairness.

According to the Eleanor Nickerson, the institute’s Manager of UK Operations, companies that take time to care for their staff enjoy a double advantage; “you have engaged employees who have an exciting and rewarding career path ahead of them, and organisations with talented, long-term leadership that’s aligned with their business.”

Not surprisingly the certification has delighted Vauxhall Motors HR Director Phil Millward. “At Vauxhall, caring for our employees is a top priority and the Top Employers certification enables us to demonstrate our strong commitment to the workforce,” he says.
