149 – Kia looks to service small businesses

Share

19 March 2009

Also at the Kia Soul driving event was Andrew Sellars (see blog 148 Kia Soul: just what exactly is it?).

Andrew heads up Kia’s fleet and remarketing side. I spoke to Andrew about Kia’s focus on helping small businesses.

“We want small businesses to buy cars from us, but it’s important to get the package right,” said Andrew.

“My background is in dealerships. I spent 18 years in dealerships. And it’s all about service. So it’s important that Kia can offer a good service to small businesses.

“That means, apart from the obvious provision of courtesy cars where necessary, making sure customers get in the car for the right reasons. To make sure the cost and the tax bill are right for the small business customer. They need to be looked after.

“Which means that our business dealers must understand taxation, so we’re very proactive on training them in the financials that affect a business car decision.”

I look forward to seeing some of this in action.
