Trying not to drive in the dark

I noticed a journalist writing in the fleet publication Fleet News suggested the headlamps of the Honda CR-V weren’t up to scratch.

On her test of the CR-V she’d had the headlamps adjusted by a Honda dealer, but she still found the beam inadequate for driving down country lanes at night.

I must admit, this is not something I’ve noticed. But then I haven’t needed to drive down unlit lanes at night. Has anyone else found this an issue?

What I did have a problem with at first – and so, too, did my wife Alison – was driving off without the headlamps on. It’s easily done.

The dashboard instrumentation is always backlit in a gentle blue. You don’t notice it much during the day, but it’s very good at night – usefully relaxing on the eyes. However
