Audi A6 TDIe: made for business, especially with its current updgrade of complimentary Milano leather

Visit to Concept Vehicle Leasing

I LOVE cars that make you feel special. And the Audi A6 does that in bucket loads. From the sophisticated and business-like interior, the tactile feel of the leather on the steering wheel, to the lovely mechanical snick-snick of the gearchange as you ride the surge of low-down torque. It all makes the Audi A6 2.0 TDIe really quite special.

It’s made for business. Audi’s current upgrade on the 2.0 TDIe SE gives you free Milano black leather and sat-nav with bluetooth. It’s got the sort of toys and understated looks you need for business.

On Friday morning I paid a visit to Paul Bulloch, md of car leasing broker Concept Vehicle Leasing. Paul’s company provides the finance quotations for our road tests. And I like to keep in touch and find out what’s going on in the world of financing small business cars.

Paul actually tells me he has a new job. “Yes, I’ve been promoted!” he jokes over a cup of coffee in the splendid deli across the road from the Concept offices. “I felt I needed a promotion…”

This is, of course, tongue in cheek. Paul’s found that he’s extending the business to service bigger medium-sized clients as well as small businesses. And to do that properly, he’s needed to provide a bit more time for them.

“It’s always a bit difficult to hand over to someone else clients that you’ve looked after for years, but generally they understand. I’m looking forward to the change and the challenge.

“It’s interesting what this recession has done,” continues Paul. “Bigger companies have changed their attitude to smaller companies. They used to be dismissive. Now they are much more willing to listen to you and take on board what you have to say.

“Recently I went to a ‘Meet the Buyer’ conference at Heathrow airport. Basically you get 10 minutes in front of a company buyer. And we’ve started to pick up some good contacts and some prospective future business. So that’s good. And with our new office up in Chesterfield, we have the opportunity to talk to more and more small and medium sized businesses.”

It’s always interesting talking to Paul. He has some good views and his answers are always thoughtful. In fact, thoughtful enough that, with his new internal promotion, we thought we’d promote him to our Ask the Experts panel. So if you have any questions about business cars, how to finance them, tax implications and so on, fire them off to me
