ADAM Pumfrey – new LIASE Group MD,  leading the UK company specialising in executive and senior recruitment in the automotive industry.

The LIASE Group is an international group of businesses covering 13 major automotive markets around the world including Europe East and West, Middle East, Americas North and South, Asia including China, Japan and Korea also India.

Former RAF pilot officer Adam has considerable experience in the automotive industry, more recently in executive and senior level recruitment across the full range of functions for automotive and related businesses.

His previous role was with Courland International, joining them in 2011 where he was the managing partner of their London office and chief operating officer. There he managed a group of managing partners and partners in London, Frankfurt and Chicago.

His automotive industry experience covers a broad spectrum of activities at board level from general management, sales operations, aftersales, marketing and fleet sales.

A graduate from Loughborough University where he received his MSc in Automotive Management in 2008, he created the B2B online used car remarketing business iCarmarket which he took successfully to market and then sold to HPI where he continued as development director.

Prior to that he was fleet and remarketing director for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles responsible for fleet sales to corporates, leasing and rental companies and small businesses for Fiat, Fiat Professional, Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands, remarketing about12,000 rental and management cars.

Previously he held the same position at Mazda Europe and his  track record also includes senior management positions with Ford, Jaguar and Lotus.
