A brand-new version of the Audi A4 will go on sale early next year.
It will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Show this September.
Orders for the new car open at Audi dealers from 11 September.
Delivery will be Q1 2008.
The new car features a range of five engines: two petrol; three diesel.
The 143PS 2.0-litre TDI and 160PS 1.8-litre TFSI engines will be key choices in the business car market.
Depending on engine there will be the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox; six-speed tiptronic auto transmission; and multitronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
The A4 will have the longest wheelbase in the compact executive class, says Audi. This should provide the car with exceptional interior space.
Features include an ‘intelligent’ key that communicates electronically with the car, electromechanical parking brake and DVD satnav with congestion avoidance.
