Arctos Holdings acquisition

  • Extended services now available through Arctos companies, SMH Fleet Solutions and Hudson Kapel
  • Enhanced online platform for service development

ARCTOS Holdings is expanding with the acquisition of CD Auctions, one of the UK’s leading online vehicle auction companies based in Corby.

The deal follows Actos Holdings’ recent £16 million investment in their new 40,000 sq ft facility on Thurleigh Airfield Business Park in Bedfordshire.

The Arctos group, owners of SMH Fleet Solutions and Hudson Kapel, is one of the UK’s largest providers of high quality services for vehicle manufacturers, franchise vehicle dealerships, leasing and rental companies and vehicle fleet providers of all sizes.

Hudson Kapel is already a leading remarketer of nearly new damaged vehicles and along with SMH Fleet Solution, the combined group has become one of the UK’s leading providers of services to the motor industry.

CD Auctions has been at the leading edge of vehicle remarketing for over 25 years, with the company offering customers a swift route to market with high levels of customer service.

The combination of services now offered by the Arctos Holdings group moves the supply of services to its customers to a new dynamic level. From vehicle management, logistics, refurbishment and storage to licence checking and securities, the combined group now offers a totally comprehensive and unrivalled range of services to the motor industry.

Commenting on the acquisition Martin McAuley, managing director of the Arctos Holdings, said: “We are building a unique portfolio of high quality services so we can continue to offer significant value to our existing customers as well as attracting new clients.

“The acquisition of the CD Auction Ltd will add yet more value to our customers as well as providing an enhanced platform for service development and growth.”
