Audi makes the most secure cars. Official
Audi has won the manufacturer award in the 2008 British International Car Security Awards. It is the third consecutive time that Audi has claimed BISCA’s top honours.
Audi also lifted three category awards. The A4, S8 saloon and TT roadster each have the best security in their respective classes, according to BISCA judges.
The awards are based on the findings of insurance industry research body Thatcham. They reflect a car’s ability to resist theft of the vehicle and theft from the vehicle
Citroen also fared well in the 2008 awards. The C4 was named best small family car, the C5 best family car, the C4 Picasso best compact MPV and the C6 best executive.
Overall, though, Audi has a larger number of models that meet the stringent Thatcham standards of five stars for ‘theft of a vehicle’ and at least four stars for ‘theft from’. Eight of Audi’s line-up meet this strict criteria.
