What’s not?
- The Q3’s face-lift has focussed on the exterior, but in our opinion it’s the interior which sadly remains unchanged and could have really benefitted from a work over. For example, the button-heavy centre console is a complete contrast to Audi’s current move towards minimalist interior design.
- Despite the addition of Audi’s adaptive dynamics system – Drive Select and the sharp handling, the Q3 is still no driver’s car. The lack of steering feel is particularly disappointing
- The Q3 is an expensive SUV choice and even though I didn’t think it was excessively specified with options, the price of our SE test car seemed expensive at £32,995.
Verdict on the Audi Q3 1.4 TFSi SE 150PS S tronic
Not the driver’s choice in the compact SUV class, but the face-lift changes bring the Q3’s looks in-line with the rest of the Audi range and the quality is as impressive as ever.
The 1.4 TFSI should be a keen business choice, for buyers who want the frugality of diesel in a petrol package. The 50.4mpg fuel figure and 135g/km CO2 emissions are key attractions.
