But on a website advertising the best contract hire deals by car brokers and dealers, the Audi TT beat established company cars to the top slot.
During the first four weeks in July, the Audi TT Coupe was the top search on ContractHireAndLeasing.com.
ContractHireAndLeasing.com said it is a unique achievement for Audi. The TT is the very first coupe to top the searches on the website.
Traditionally, top searches are reserved for company car and business car lease favourites such as the Audi A4, and the Mercedes C-Class.
According to Richard Lawton, marketing manager, ContractHireAndLeasing.com, the surge in popularity is due to the introduction of the flagship Audi TT RS.
“But since the TT range has been around since 1999, there are many other variants in the line-up to suit a range of budgets, all with characteristic great residuals which make Audi a firm favourite in the contract hire market,” added Richard.
