Revive! is a leasing mobile repair business that’s teamed up with Multileasing to offer an on site inspection and repair service for vehicles reaching the end of a lease term

The Multileasing solution

How can you avoid the bills, or at least be in control of them?

Firstly, proper forward planning can help when it comes to returning your vehicle. Ideally, inspect the vehicle well in advance and make sure that any damage that is present is rectified before the vehicle is returned.

Damage to alloy wheels is typical of the sort of damage that can result in end of lease charges

Typical examples are damaged alloy wheels, bumper scuffs, scratches or dings to the bodywork, damaged interiors and so on. But there’s no doubt that the job can be onerous, and of course you will incur a cost.

The alternative is to leave it to the leasing company, and accept the charge that way.

Multileasing is a small fleet leasing company that says it offers a cost-effective solution to its leasing customers through its DeFleet service. DeFleet allows Multileasing customers to retain control of any repair costs while removing much of the inconvenience of having to organise the work.

Iain Luck, Managing Director of Multileasing, explains how the DeFleet service works.

“Over the last couple of years our customers have reported an upward trend in the amount of minor items they’re being recharged for by contract hire companies when they return vehicles so, as a direct response, we’ve launched our new solution – DeFleet.

“By partnering with Revive! (a ‘smart repair’ network that can make minor bodywork repairs on site) Multileasing offers a convenient and flexible inspection service at the customer’s site. The inspection will identify any external pre-return issues and offer a value for money solution for any minor bodywork and alloy wheel repairs that may need to be done.

“In addition, we will refund up to half of the inspection charge if the repairs are completed by Revive!”

While you’ll still have to pay for any repairs, you’re in control of the process, and you have the added peace of mind of knowing the work will be done to a standard the leasing company will accept.

Editor’s Note:

Of course, if in doubt regarding any vehicle return issues you should always check with your small fleet leasing supplier before the end of the lease term who can advise you on the best course of action.
