BMW 3 Series
For the second year running, the BMW 3 Series is easily the car that gets the most interest on Business Car Manager

SME_Company_Car_of_the_Year_AwardsTHE BMW 3 Series has been voted as the Best Company Car for SMEs by readers of Business Car Manager, the dedicated website for small businesses and SME small fleets.

It’s the second year in a row that the 3 Series has won this award and, yet again, it won by quite some margin. Business Car Manager analysed the searches on its site over the past six months and the number of times the BMW 3 Series was used in its company car tax calculator tool.

BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Business

  • CO2: 109g/km
  • Fuel consumption: 68.9mpg
  • Acceleration: 8.0 seconds
  • Maximum speed: 143mph
  • Insurance group: 31
  • P11D value: £29,755
  • Company car tax band: 16%
  • BIK: £4761
  • Tax at 20%: £952
  • Tax at 40%: £1904

Ralph Morton, editor of Business Car Manager, said: “It’s easy to see why our readers are so interested in the latest 3 Series – even two years after it first launched this car is still right up there for fun, technology and, most importantly for our readers, company car appeal.”

The sheer range of models on offer in the line-up must also play a part in the BMW’s success. Buyers can pick between six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines offering blistering performance, or a range of four-cylinder units that perfectly blend acceleration and economy.

BMW also won the SME Company Car Programme award this year, proving its dedication to business customers once again.

It’s clearly invested a lot of time and money in to this specialised sector of the market because the 3 Series has plenty of stiff competition, but neither the Audi A4 nor the Mercedes C-Class could even come close to the amount of interest the BMW gained.

Scooping the Readers’ Vote shows that BMW really knows what it’s doing, and we wouldn’t bet against the 3 Series taking another victory in this category next year.
