Likely to be the BMW i3’s natural habitat, with or without a range extender

What is it?

THE BMW i3 Range Extender is BMW’s brand new electric car, fitted with a range extending, 2 cylinder, 647cc petrol engine.

The minute you grip the steering wheel it feels rock solid, very premium, very ‘must have’

It’s not to be confused with the BMW i3 without the range extender (you can read our review here).

Nor is it to be confused with a hybrid as the petrol engine doesn’t drive the car, it recharges the batteries and doubles the BMW i3’s real-world range to approximately 200 miles, thus allaying ‘range-anxiety’.
