CD AUCTION Group has become the latest company to sign-up to ICFM’s rapidly expanding Corporate Investor Programme and the first from the vehicle remarketing sector.

The aim of the Corporate Investor Programme is to further raise the standards of fleet industry professionals and overcome a possible skills and knowledge shortage inside many employers.

Designed to appeal to employers that provide products and services to fleets, member businesses also become more closely involved in ICFM initiatives, which include training for employees, the organisation’s annual conference and Masterclasses on key industry issues.

Northamptonshire-based CD Auction Group has more than 28 years’ experience of remarketing and managing vehicles for many of the UK’s leading organisations.

The company, which was acquired by Arctos Holdings, owners of SMH Fleet Solutions and Hudson Kapel Auctions, last September, has clients from the rental and leasing sector as well as large and small corporations. Its success in online remarketing of used vehicles has enabled the company to develop long-term relationships with both clients and buyers.

CD Auction Group managing director Andy Brown, who previously spent many years in senior positions at a number of contract hire and leasing companies, said: “We are delighted to be the first vehicle remarketing company to join the ICFM corporate investor programme.

“The ICFM is a fantastic organisation for professional fleet managers to gain knowledge and network with their peers and to advance their skills through the focused training the ICFM provides.

“CD Auction Group looks forward to getting involved with the members of the organisation and helping them get a greater understanding of the speed of change in the remarketing sector away from physical auction to online auctions and how they can embrace that change to further improve returns for their business.”

ICFM sales director Peter Eldridge said: “ICFM is delighted that CD Auction Group has recognised the value that ICFM can deliver through the Corporate Investor Programme and joined at Affiliate level.

“We hope that many other businesses will clearly see the value for money benefits of membership and the training and learning opportunities available and then enrol their employees in the various courses and attend our events, whether that be the ICFM’s annual conference or its Masterclasses tackling key fleet decision-maker issues.

“Investment in ICFM adds credibility and value to businesses and their employees and provides an invaluable network of contacts and benefits.”

Other companies that have also joined ICFM’s Corporate Investor Programme since its launch last year include Ambit, Auto Windscreens, Geotab, Michelin, SG Fleet and Thrifty Car & Van Rental.
