SMALL accident damage is the curse of any business car manager.

It doesn’t matter how many business cars you operate, a ding is a ding – and needs sorting and costs money plus administrative time sorting out any insurance claims.

All of which a small business can ill afford.

This is something that fleet management specialists, Interactive Fleet Management, has identified.

And to help out small businesses with a company car policy, they have produced a new guide offering advice to drivers on how to reduce the number of small accidents to their company cars.

Interactive Fleet Management says the new accident damage information booklet is part of a new ‘Driver-Link’ initiative based around a series of guides specifically aimed at company car drivers – the first one covering winter driving.

The accident guide offers tips covering such areas as reversing into parking spaces – so that you always drive out forwards – and trying to pick a parking spot with enough room so that your business car doesn’t get clanged by another car’s opening door. Although these days that’s more easier said than found in practice.
