For just £279.99 per month, you can bag yourself an Audi A6 2.0-litre TDI S line, complete with 18-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, electric leather seats, and an aggressive body kit. It also comes with powerful xenon headlights, cruise control, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity – all for less than you’d pay for a run-of-the-mill family hatchback.
This impressive package comes with the tried and tested 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine, which is good for 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds and 57.6mpg combined. It’s great for company car drivers, too, thanks to 129g/km emissions. The A6 is also available with the smooth Multitronic automatic gearbox, for £319 per month.
All this gives the manual gearbox car a company car tax rate of 20%, meaning lower rate tax payers will fork out just £1311 per year, while higher rate payers are looking at a bill of £2622 per year.
The added advantage for business owners is that it also means there is no leasing disallowance, so the full amount of the rental can be claimed against tax on the profit and loss account.
